Condolence From: Bob Miles
Condolence: I only just found out today that Charles had passed away.

I knew Charles first as a guest on my TV show and then as a friend.

Charles was a great guitar slinger and consummate gentlemen.

My wife and I had traveled to Long Island once to see him perform. He even had me up at Berklee College and we had lunch together in his office.

Charles helped so many guitar players along the way and was such a great inspiration to many.

I will miss Charles.

One less great person has diminished the world.

God Bless you Charles!

Condolence From: Joe Santerre
Condolence: Please accept my heartfelt condolence. I'll never forget Charlie. I met him on my very 1st gig while a student
at Berklee in the 80's. He was the guitarist in a horn band. There were many charts and alot of notes to read
and I was extremely scared & stressed. Charlie was so supportive to me and had a totally positive vibe that I actually
relaxed and played! That positive reinforcement from him has always stayed with me. Thanks Charlie!

Condolence From: Stephen Smith
Condolence: My sincerest condolences. I studied with Charles at Berklee in the late 90's. Today, I have moved-on professionally from music to law, and it is revealing to consider what lessons from Berklee have stayed with me. Studying with Charles are my clearest memories from the Guitar Department. His warm demeanor, his easy knowledge...he was the least stressful professor that I had at Berklee, yet I also learned much more with him than in any other guitar lesson. He somehow knew just how much to push each student, just the right amount to keep them moving, but carefully enough that they would retain what they learned along the way. He was a wonderful teacher and a kind, caring man. My time at Berklee was better because of him.
