Condolence From: Solomon & Corinne Orff
Condolence: I first meet Don £ Laura at the Orffs Corner Community Church..I admired them both as a couple always sitting in front of us Sunday morning in church..I worked with Don as Treasurer for the church for many years and I learned a lot from him..He was a contributing factor at the time we were preparing to do the Community room attached to the church. His financial donation was more then generous. He wanted to make sure we could do it the proper way...with anything we needed..And he didn't want anyone to know that he had given so much till his passing...He acted in many capacities for the church over the years and I can truly say I have missed him just being there. He was a valuable person to his community, church and his country...To the family I say I am sorry for your loss and may he rest in peace in Gods hands..

Condolence From: Brian York
Condolence: Don lived a long and full life, providing both leadership and service for many people and organizations. Don and Laura were especially wonderful friends to my mother, who spent many happy hours travelling with them to Eastern Star meetings and chapters all over the country. Don was always a friend in times of need for a neighbor or community organization, using his many talents and skills to help out. I will remember him with fondness and gratitude.

Condolence From: Kathy Elkins
Condolence: Don was my first boss as an educator. When I applied for the food service teaching position, Don did not think I had enough cooking experience as a dietitian and told me not to hesitate to take another position if offered! A few days later, Don offered me the position. Both of us were strong individuals and we both were passionate about helping our students succeed. The CARVC thrived under Don's leadership and I was forever grateful for the opportunity to work for him. I enjoyed hearing from him every Christmas. He loved his family and his Eastern Star activities. It is fitting he passed away on Valentine's Day...joining his sweetheart Laura. Happy waltzing Don!
