I was 13 when Ron and Jan moved in across the street from us. They gave me my first babysitting job. My first job was kicking a footpress when Ron started out in business. He always had the coldest glass of milk! I remember how the barn swallows would attack him as he walked across the street to or from my house. He was always happy and optimistic and a hard worker, building his business from the ground up. Both Ron and Jan were a big influence on my teenage years. It has been quite a few years since I last saw him, but memories stay fresh in my mind. The world lost a great guy.

This is always a difficult time to have the right words. My heart becomes extremely heavy when I hear of a family member passing. We only have one shot at this life and I believe Ron lived it to the fullest. One may say he was lucky in life. If he was it was because he had a wonderful family. He was because he had the ability to work hard. He was because he was surrounded by the right people. I believe luck is the reward of perseverance. Ron seemed to have mastered perseverance. He has set the bar high for the generations to follow in his footsteps. By the life he led I believe there is no wrong to always remember who Ron Pratt was and always will be - Buzzy
