I did not see him very much the first couple of years, as he was directing the Marine Science Center in Nahant. He returned to the main campus in Boston in the early 80's and I served with him. Sometimes we taught different sections of the same course, so we worked together. I remember him fondly, as he was always kind and gracious. He cared so much for his students and believed that we must always give them our best. He was a role model and an inspiration for me. I am glad that he had many years in retirement to enjoy sailing his boat. Professor Bob was the best.

From Aunt Ethel, Ginny to Uncle Jack, Lauren, Barclay, popo.

Often into his chemistry he took me, his father did also with me. Last we spoke of the chemistry of things, I mentioned the carbon monoxide cranking out of his red dragon lawn mower. I heard Uncle Bob not exactly say, 'we all die from something suzy'.

He devised a plan to make my own oil paint. Eradicating the massive burden of cost for the medium so I could freely enjoy my painting. I needed to collect a massive amount of bugs...

Anchorage never got on my canvas, it got into my spirit.

quae celerrime in memoria.

You have been a beacon of love Uncle Bob
