I am a neighbor of Ellen's and though I have not met her family, I want to leave a few words about Ellen. I would usually see Ellen sitting on a bench with her dear friend Poppy. She would listen to me talk about my day and have such a caring look on her face. To know that I won't see her again fills me with sadness. However, I think she "let her life speak" with caring and kindness and I am so glad to have had her nearby. My sincere condolences. Kerry

Ellen worked with me @ KnoWalin. She always gave compassionate care to all the patients she served. My highest praise would be I would hope to receive the kind of care Ellen gave when I have that need.

I am so sorry for your loss of Ellen. We worked together for quite a few years at Fieldcrest Manor. I knew that Ellen's patients had the very best of care and in her quiet way she thought the world of them. One evening we received the news that a very sweet lady had passed away at the hospital. After I told the staff the news we all stood silent. Ellen headed for the stairs and said "I'll clean her room". We heard the door slam and we knew Ellen needed her time alone to grieve for this special resident.
