I met Madine while at Goodwill-Hinckley in 1982. We became fast friends and she was my "partner in crime". When she came home with me for a long weekend in 1983, she met a bunch of my friends and they all fell in love with her like any and every one she ever met. I have thought of Madine many times over the years and i am so sorry I never was able to connect with her. She will definately be missed but never forgotten! I love you Miss Madine!

I remember the day my mom met my son like it was yesterday. We had just gotten done with 45 hours of travelling from Pakistan to Portland and were tired. We got onto the escalator to find my Mom waiting at the bottom. As soon as she saw us her face lit up and she started crying out of joy. She took my son from my arms and held him like he was a precious jewel. She told him she was his Grammy. She didn't let go of him the whole time we were in the airport. She was capable of such pure love that it still takes my breath away when I think of having lost her. I love you so much, Mom. So, so much.

My sincere condolences to the family of Madine Callan. Words are shy to give the appropriate comfort because it is not possible to ease the pain with just a few words. May you find comfort in your loving memories, and in God's promise to soon “wipe out every tear from your eyes…and death be no more” (Rev 21:3,4). And in His promise of taking away every disease that afflict us today (Isa 33:24). We can only hope on his promise of a resurrection (John 5:28, 29). I have many great memories of the year 1982 when I was a part of Madine's family at Happy Hollow Road in Union. I remember her great big smile, her outspokenness, and her genuine spirit. I had not seen Madine in a long time but sure do remember her. I send my condolences to her family. May your memories comfort you during this time of sorrow.
