Obituary for Anna M Giles
Anna M. Giles 83, of Bath Maine, (formerly of Boothbay), passed away peacefully on April 7, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston Maine.
Anna was born to Clay Beam and Naomi (Weaver) in Elverson Pennsylvania. She was born and raised on a farm with her five siblings, educated in Pennsylvania, and worked in the silk Mills. When she moved to Maine she did social work for the State, and it was Maine where she raised her five children. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and loved flowers. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with family. She found great comfort in her strong Christian faith, and donated generously to Veterans, Native American organizations and the Shiners.
Anna is predeceased by her parents, son Ricky, brother, “Leroy” Beam, and sister, Mary Jane Giles.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph, and Scott, daughters, Amber and Jesse.
Sisters, Louise Bartsch, Susan Gilbert and Grace Wagstaff. She was very proud of her 23 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, family members and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay, Maine.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay, Maine. A committal service will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery, Boothbay, Maine.
