Obituary for Ann Jeanne Wallace (Stanley)

Thomaston- Ann Jeanne Wallace, 86, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in the comfort of her home overlooking the St. George River that she so loved on Tuesday, January 5th 2021.

Ann was born on August 20th, 1934 in Martinsville, ME and was the youngest of 15 children born to parents Oscar and Ethel Wilson Stanley. Ann grew up in Martinsville and attended local schools.

Ann met the love of her life Raymond Wallace Sr. and they were married on June 13th, 1951. Ann and Ray would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this June.

Ann loved being a mom and a grandmother and was a homemaker while raising her family.
Ann enjoyed bowling with her family and when the "CB craze" was active Ann was known as “Auntie Ann” . She had been a member of the Martinsville Grange.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Raymond Wallace, Sr. of Thomaston, Her sister Edna Carter of Rockland, Her sons Raymond Wallace, of California, Leslie Wallace(Kathy) of Rockland, Her daughters Cindy ( Mike) Ross of Thomaston, Lindy Wallace ( Kevin Kaler) of Thomaston, Debbie Proctor (Loring) of Thomaston. Ann is also survived by her grandchildren Loring & Jeremy Proctor, Leslie, Jacob and Joshua Ross, Tamra and Megan Wallace along with her Great Grandchildren Shastan Proctor, Brady and Avery Proctor, Isla Bay & Ellie Mae Ross, Leslie & Gabriel Ross and Dayton and Hazel Poland as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Ann’s family will honor her wishes and will celebrate her life privately when it is safe to do so.
