Obituary for Gerald S. Anderson Sr.
Gerald S. Anderson Sr. passed away early Sunday morning, June 2, 2019 after a long battle with leukemia.
Always known as “Jerry” he worked early on as a pulp truck driver and a woodsman. He spent much of his time over the past two decades caring for his wife Shirley after she suffered a severe stroke in 1995.
Jerry had many friends and family throughout his lifetime. He loved fishing and gardening and was always willing to help someone out. Always known as an honest and hardworking man, he was well respected and was a definite “old schooler.”
Jerry is predeceased by his parents, Towno Anderson and Marion (Hibbert) Anderson,siblings, Donald Anderson, David Anderson, Marlene Crosby and Sharon Thibeau.
He is survived by the love of his life of 57 years, Shirley (Yeaton) Anderson of Bremen, sons Bruce Anderson and wife Deborah of Damariscotta, Todd Anderson and his companion Patty White of Bremen and Massachusetts, Jed Anderson and his companion Michelle of Augusta, grandchildren Tasha Anderson, Trevor Anderson, Todd Anderson, Jr., Sean Root, and Nicole Anderson, great grandchildren Brayden and Gabrian, several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Hall’s of Waldoboro, 949 Main Street, in Waldoboro. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Hillside Cemetery, 656 Waldoboro Road in Bremen, with Pastor Tom Rawley officiating.
