Obituary for Russell J. "Rusty" McPhee

Russell James “Rusty” McPhee, 18, of Waldoboro, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2018 at LincolnHealth-Miles Campus.

Rusty was born on December 29, 1999 in Portland, Maine to Jeromey McPhee and Angela Brochu.

Rusty grew up in Waldoboro and was raised by his grandparents, Naomi and Gerald McPhee. He graduated from the Class of 2018 at Medomak Valley High School. Rusty enjoyed academics while in school. He was a member of the Cub Scouts. He had a huge passion for video games and was a big Harry Potter and Dr. Who fan and enjoyed swimming. He was a loving, big-hearted, caring, empathetic person as well as a jokester telling jokes and “stirring it up!” He will be missed by his cat “Mittens” and his beagle “Butch”.

He was predeceased by Great Grandparents Earl and Betty Wallace, Great Grandparents Lalia and James McPhee and Great Grandparents Bill and Eunice Potter.

Rusty is survived by his father Jeromey McPhee of Waldoboro, mother, Angela Brochu of Rockland, paternal grandparents Naomi and Gerald McPhee of Waldoboro, maternal grandparents Pam and Gordon Tibbetts of Alna, twin sister, Raina McPhee and fiancé Dustin Campbell of Waldoboro, Aunt Rachel McPhee of Waldoboro, Aunt Dezarae McPhee and fiancé Douglass Knowlton of Waldoboro, Aunt Alexiee McPhee of Warren, 2 half brothers Billy and Zach Dunning of Alna, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rusty is also survived by two very special cousins Damien and Bentley.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Halls of Waldoboro, 949 Main Street, in Waldoboro, with Pastor Tom Rawley officiating.
