Obituary for Peggy J. Reynolds

Peggy J. Reynolds, 73, of Waldoboro, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, September 18, 2017, at the Sussman House in Rockport, Maine.

Peggy was born on June 8, 1944 in Steuben, Maine to Francis Myrick and Ilda (Burke) Myrick. She grew up in Tenants Harbor, and attended St. George Schools, graduatating from St. George High School.

She married Philip Reynolds on January 4, 1964. Peggy worked as a short order cook for many years, worked at the Port Clyde Packing Company, and was the office manager at Beaver Enterprises. She then worked at Bowden Egg Farms up until 4 weeks ago.

She was a member of the Martinsville Grange, a member of the Fire Flies in the St. George Fire Department and an active member of the North Waldoboro Nazarene Church.

Peggy loved spending time with her family. She especially loved doing things with her grandkids and sisters. She was always busy!

She was predeceased by her parents and grandson, Arron Paulsen.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Philip C. Reynolds of Waldoboro, her daughter Marla McLain and husband Jeff of Gardiner, her son Scott Reynolds and wife Mary Jean of Waldoboro, daughter Debra Reynolds of Auburn, daughter Faye Reynolds of Waldoboro, sisters, Methyl Carlson of St. George, Mary Jane Simmons of Friendship, brother Michael Myrick of Cushing, grandchildren Adam Paulsen of St. George, Alison Nields of Brewer, Kendra McCrum of Washington, Shanna Hammond of Union, Danika McCrum of Bangor, Eric Haskell of Thomaston, Philip Davis of Thomaston, and seven great grandchildren, Kathleen, Emma, Gage, Ace, Nora, Austin and Sawyer.

Visiting hours for Peggy will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro, Maine. A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro, Maine, with Pastor Mark Holden officiating.
