Sean C. Forde, 76, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at home with his wife by his side. The cause of death was lymphoma.

Sean was born on June 11, 1941 in Galway, Ireland to Christina (Flanagan) and John Forde. He was educated at the O’Cornell Street Christian Brothers School in Dublin, Ireland. He finished his education in New York where he received a BS from Fordham University and Masters Degree from C.U.N.Y. Sean was employed for many years as the Chief Financial Officer at the Zimmer Corporation.

Sean was a veteran of the United States Army, having served 2 years in Germany in the early 1960s. He was a fine athlete excelling at Irish sports and golf.

He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife Mary and his daughter Missy (Jim), three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church in Newcastle on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
