Obituary for Laura A Robinson (Cousins)

South Thomaston — Laura Ann Cousins Robinson, 84, died April 17, 2017, at Sussman House Hospice, following a long illness. She passed with her family by her side.

Laura was born Jan. 24, 1933, in Warren. She was the daughter of Leonard Cousins and Vera Partridge Cousins, who predeceased her.

She worked for many years as a bus driver and crossing guard, a job she loved. Laura was an excellent cook, a baker and loved cooking for her family. She loved needlepoint, crocheting, knitting and gardening. Laura loved giving her needlework to her family and friends. She loved to pass the time sitting and watching her birds and spending time with her beloved cat, Niko,

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Oscar E Robinson Jr. They loved each other deeply, and will be together once again .She was also predeceased by son Dwight Johnson and daughter Karen Robinson.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving brother, Ronald, and sister Anita; and children Harold, Cheryl, Brenda, Stephen and Kendall; her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held April 27 at 2 p.m. at the Village Cemetery, Erin Street, Thomaston,. with the Rev. Anne Roundy officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sussman House, 40 Anchor Drive, Rockport, ME 04856. Arrangements are with Hall's of Thomaston.
