Obituary for Anne Carol Orne

Anne Carol Orne
ANNE CAROL ORNE
Born November 11th, 1943 at St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor. The youngest of three girls born to Lyman and Dorothy Pinkham.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after fighting cancer since February 2016. She loved country music and raising her two children. Anne enjoyed gardening especially her rose bushes and magnolia tree. She was an avid animal lover-she loved her three cats-Dusty, Callie and Cosby and enjoyed watching wildlife. Having resided her entire life in the Boothbay Region, she never took for granted the beauty of the area, especially Ocean Point. One of her favorite things to do was watch the New England Patriots-she was a true fan!

Anne was employed for many years at local grocery stores-first at Carbone’s and then at Hannaford. She always greeted everyone with a smile and loved joking with patrons. Her strength and amazing spirit will be sadly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.

Anne is predeceased by her father Mr. Lyman Pinkham, mother Dorothy Dauphin Pinkham and Brody her grand-Bernese Mountain dog.

She is survived by her son Kenneth “Skip” Orne, daughter Sherri Brooks, son-in law Charles Brooks, Grandson Scott Bishop Alley, sisters Sharon Oakland of Boothbay, Ellen Williams of Boothbay Harbor, 5 nieces and nephews, 7 grand nieces and nephews as well as many cousins and her very special friend of many years Kathy Stevens.

A celebration of life will be held at Hall Funeral Homes of Boothbay, Saturday, January 21st at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, P.O.Box 7, Edgecomb, ME 04556 or to Gosnell Memorial Hospice of Southern Maine at 180 US Route One, Scarborough, ME 04074.

Hall’s of Boothbay has care of the arrangements. To extend online condolences please
