Message to the Family: My heart goes out to your family. Helen was a wonderful part of my childhood and will always bring back warm memories. In no small part, she inspired me to go into teaching as a lifetime career. It was her caring, her gentle but nurturing character, that shone brightly. I smile thinking about it, but she always wanted me to bring my basal reader over during school vacations when I visited Bibby. I had to read out loud before we could play.
