Obituary for Lois Vannah
Lois D. Vannah, 91, resident of Waldoboro passed away passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Miles Memorial Hospital, Damriscotta.

She was born February 24, 1923 in Nobleboro and was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Annie Atkinson Donnell. Lois attended and graduated from the Lincoln Academy Class of 1942. She married Stanley A. Vannah on October 24, 1947. Mrs. Vannah and her Husband worked in Vannah's Market for twelve years until his death. She was the Treasurer for The Ladies Auxillary of the Old German Church from 1971 until retiring in 1991. She was a longtime member of the North Nobleboro Baptist Church and a member of the German Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Vannah was predeceased in death by her parents, her husband Stanley, a brother Chester Donnell; four sisters, Thelma D. Moody, Edna D. Spear, Maxine Lane and Marie D. Ashworth; step son Richard Vannah; two step grandsons, Ricky A. Sproul and Craig R. Sproul.

Survivors include; two daughters Susan Butler and her Husband Drew of Waldoboro, Sally V. Fogleman and her deceased husband Glenn of Waldoboro; a brother, Roger Donnell of Carmel; step daughter Joan Genthner and her husband of Breman; step son Stanley Vannah, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Nobleboro; sister in law Helen Pietla of Nobleboro; granddaughter Jency Torres and her husband Matthew and their children Alyjah and Mya Torres all of Boston, Virginia; grandson Zachery Butler and his companion Katie of Union; grandson Dylan Fogleman and his companion Cassie of Union; grandson Jarreth Fogleman of Union; sister in law Helen Pietla of Nobleboro; very special great great grandson Allen Sproul of San Antonio, Texas; step daughter in law Barbara Vannah of Waldoboro. Many other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Vannah will be held in the Spring at the German Cemetery in Waldoboro. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to; The North Nobleboro Baptist Church, C/O Eden Spear, 34 Benner Road, Nobleboro, Maine 04555. Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro, Maine is entrusted with arrangements.
