Obituary for Crystal Pottle Eaton

Crystal Pottle Eaton

Crystal Eaton, 49, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, January 27th after a lengthy and valiant fight with metastatic breast cancer. She was born July 22, 1964 in Rockland to Louise and Paul Pottle, the second of three children very close in age. Crystal spent her childhood with her parents and two sisters in Warren. She graduated from Medomak Valley High School in the class of 1982. She married Edward Eaton of Rockland. They bought a house in Warren and that became their home forever.

Crystal spent much of the 1980’s and early 1990’s raising her own children, and sitting for many other children as well. She enjoyed spending time with her children building room forts, dancing to the Dave Matthews Band, silly birthday parties, lovely holidays, ocean days and trips to Lake Pemaquid Campground. She was an incredible mother and wife, making sure her family was well taken care of and happy.

After taking care of her young children, Crystal touched many people in the community at her numerous jobs. She worked for Slim Goodbody, Courier Gazette, Cablevision, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Pen Bay Medical Center. Through the years, she continued to care for her children, taking care of her home and tended to her ailing mother in 2001. She had five grandchildren and adored each one of them.

She will be forever remembered as a loving, selfless, intelligent and witty person. She loved spending time with her family, baking, playing scrabble, watching movies with her husband, snuggling with her grand babies and her kitty, “Skippy,”and spending summer days in Port Clyde. She was a best friend, wife, mother, and grandmother, who has left a hole in her family’s hearts. Her greatest regret was that she would not be able to see her grandchildren grow up. She was predeceased by her father, Paul, in 1988 and by her mother,Louise, in 2001. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Edward Eaton of Warren
